Southwest Conservation Corps

This summer I worked for the Southwest conservation corps (SCC). would have to say the overall experience was sorta mindblowing. We began by heading down to the Gila National Forest in New Mexico. We hiked in 13 miles into the wilderness zone to restore and revegitate an area that was previously burned. SCC hires crews to work on various outdoor projects regionally. SCC provides scholarship oppurtunites, I think it is around 300 hours of service when they reward ya with a nice $1200 scholarship. Cool way to make and SAVE money, while going to some unique locations. Great Physical work!

SKI BARN RAIL JAM

Tomorow (FRIDAY) the ski barn is throwing a rail jam. word on the street is they are hooking up some sic thangs, and some beer!!
Starts around 6ish, judging at 7ish.

Smoking Marijuana: A safer alternative

Norml is a group that is seeking to reform marijaua laws. Norml makes an interesting point though: marijuana is safer than the the number one abused drug alchohol, and even than the second most commonly abused drug of tobacco. Medical marijuana is becoming more relevant because of its benifits. Rosenfelds testimony (providing below) raises a few good points.
